- Trash collection days are Wednesday and Saturday by the garage door. Garbage cans should not be placed at the curb but rather at your back door or garage door. (Through our MUD fees, we pay extra for garbage collectors to retrieve our trash away from the curb to keep the neighborhood aesthetically pleasing).
- Heavy waste / yard waste collection is also collected Wednesday and Saturday - curbside. Lawn clippings should be bagged and placed at the curb. Branches should be cut into smaller pieces, bundled, and placed at the curb.
- Recycling collection in bin is Wednesday - curbside.
The rules regarding biodegradable bags only apply within the city of Houston and not to Twin Lakes waste pickup. However, residents are free to use the new bags, and we probably should encourage their use from an environmental point of view. At some time in the future, similar rules could be adopted by Harris County and/or the state.
