An HOA letter regarding the recent hail storm
Recently Twin Lakes received a hail storm that has damaged some home roofs, roof gutter systems, and possibly other property. In situations like this, we can expect to have solicitors directly contacting property owners with all sorts of stories of damage and estimates for repair. Some of these contractors may be dishonest.
It is suggested that property owners exercise caution in accepting contractor damage assessments, work estimates, warrantees, and quality of work commitments. The property owners’ insurance companies and the Better Business Bureau are good sources for information and assistance.
As all Twin Lakes property owners know, we each signed an Agreement to comply with certain regulations when we purchased our home. It is very important that we understand our Agreement and follow it.
Before making modifications, additions, repairs, etc. to your home, it is suggested that you review that Agreement. Certain contractor work requires prior review by the Twin Lakes Committee before contractor work begins.
Complying with your Twin Lakes Agreement before work is done, will eliminate non-compliance situations, and possible additional property owner’s expense, caused by violations of your Agreement.
This Notice is provided by your Twin Lakes HOA Board of Directors in hopes it will be useful.
